Dry Steam Sterilization

BRONZEBUM’s whole organic Urucum seeds are sourced from Brazil. Once they arrive at the warehouse, a GMP certified food grade facility, they go through an FDA organically approved dry steam sterilization process. The seeds are put into a high pressurized vault system where dry steam at temperatures of 215 degrees penetrates the seeds. This is done to get rid of any potential trace bacterias, yeasts, or molds. Most companies don’t take this extra step to ensure quality because it’s costly, but it is evident in the quality. 

Story time, when I wasn’t able to find Urucum tablets on the US market, I decided to grab some in a random supermarket to use as loose powder. It’s labeled as Annatto powder in the US and sold as a spice. Same thing, right? After a few days, my stomach was doing things that I’d rather not discuss. My guess is that it was not high quality Urucum powder, nor sterilized for purity. 

It’s crucial to know where your Urucum seeds are coming from and that they are high quality. Don’t just buy it as a spice at the supermarket. Invest in dietary supplement quality.
