How It Started

IT ALL BEGAN... On a road trip through the little island Sardinia. We had no plans, only a small rental car.

Hidden beaches, long summer days and warm summer nights. One night, we laid on the sand and watched a meteor shower.

While there, my friend turned me onto "urucum" - a natural spice that helps keep your tan. Also one of the best kept secrets of the Amazon (not the e-comm giant, the actual Amazon).  

The Mediterranean sea sprayed our heads into curly messes and the head to toe bronze glow from urucum made confidence radiate from the inside out. I hope BRONZEBUM™ will capture that feeling for you.

I've always wanted to do something involving skin care. I remember pinning diy lotion ingredients to my pinterest board two years ago. I began making my own lotions in 2020 because I had, like you, the whole year off. And then I met Elsha. She shared her company's vision with me and I fell in love- especially after trying the oil. The scent is heavenly and I love my skin to shimmer and glow, year round. As a biracial woman (black & white), I don't burn easily, but I love to go in the sun with oil on, which can be very damaging. The oil is a game changer for me because it protects from sun damage without being sticky like most sunscreens. Also, I may be working on a lotion right now as you're reading this! *wink wink*. Growing up on Long Island, my summers consisted of constant full days at the beach. I always loved to see how tan I could get by the end of the summer. Having pretty fair skin, you'd be surprised at how tan I can actually get, but lets just say it takes quite a few sunburns to get there. As I get older, I realize the importance of taking care of your skin, so that's why when Elsha and Jonetta told me about Bronzebum, I knew I had to get involved. The all natural ingredients, the scent, the fact that it's a female owned and run company, Bronzebum stands for so much that I believe in and want to always promote to my followers.
